The Philoshopy Story behind Barong Dance
Barong Dance is a typical Balinese dance that mostly knowing from the treasures of the Pre-Hindu culture. This dance depicts the battle between virtue (dharma) and evil (adharma). Form of virtue played by Barong (the dancers with costumes quadruped) while the manifestation of evil played by Rangda, the sinister figure with two pointy fangs in his mouth.

Type of Barong Dance
There are several types of commonly displayed Barong Dance in Bali, such as Barong Ket, Barong Bangkal (pig), Barong Macan, Barong Landung. However, among the types of Barong is most often a tourist treat is Barong Ket or Barong Keket that used costumes and dances that have more complex than another among Barong dance. Barong Ket costume generally combination between lions, tigers, and bulls. In their body decorated with ornaments from leather, pieces of mirror glass, and also features the feathers of pandan leaf fibers. Story of Barong Dance
People that saw the barong ket in first glance said that the Barong Ket is not much different from the usual Lion Dance performed by the people of China.
